Roxy K. Taylor-Pavey

November 27, 1954 — April 27, 2026

On April 27th, 2026, Roxy K. (Fisher) Taylor-Pavey passed away after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. Roxy was born to Neil Fisher and Gloria Akers in November of 1954.

Roxy leaves behind her mother, Gloria (Ralph) Akers; husband of 22 years, Robert Pavey; and children, Kaity (Chris) Schultz, Cody Taylor, and Maddie Pavey. She also leaves behind her brother, Steve (Leticia) Horn; sisters, Julie (Jeff) Yeszin, Melissa (Barry) Wilcox, and Susie (Dan) Swager; and one grandson, JT. She also leaves behind a world full of friends who are more like family and several nieces and nephews.

She was welcomed with open arms into heaven by her late husband & father of Kaity and Cody, Thomas Taylor, along with her father, Neil Fisher. Also preceding her in death were her nephew, Jake Pavey and step-daughter, Tracy Pavey.

Roxy had many joys in life and some of the biggest ones were her children and her grandson, JT. She also loved snuggling with her Daisy girl, her little terrier pup she rescued from La Porte Animal Shelter. Roxy loved scrapbooking, tracking the genealogy of the family roots and posting on Facebook. Taking long drives on the backroads in Fremont was one of her favorite things to do when visiting her dad or on a nice day on the La Porte backroads with her husband, Bob. She always chose the bumpiest dirt roads she could find, after all the family had eaten a large meal!

Roxy and Bob together renovated a home on Pine Lake that gave Roxy the view she always imagined having. Bird feeders were hung so that Roxy was able to watch the hummingbirds and orioles right from her living room recliner - one of her favorite things. Roxy also loved fostering Monarch butterfly caterpillars and releasing them when they were ready.

Roxy fought her lung cancer for 13 years, with a remission from 2014 to 2022. She was strong and resilient and fought until the very end and spent her last few days surrounded by so many loved ones including family and also friends of her children, whom she loved like her own.

Roxy's family invites you to join them in celebrating her legacy on Monday, May 4, 2026. Visitation will be at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte, IN, from 3 - 5 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service with Andrew Bailey officiating.

We invite you to make donations in lieu of flowers to the Jane Bernard Animal Adoption Center, 2855 West State Road 2, La Porte, IN 46350, or a fund to place a bench for everyone to enjoy the beauty at Potato Creek State Park.
