Shelly Ann Vermette

After a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her friends and family, Shelly (Stephens) Vermette, 62, of La Porte, IN, passed away on March 31, 2025. A proud mother of seven, Shelly shared her days with her partner, Kent Pittman, and their cherished cat, Terrorist.

She is survived by her sons, Jason, Daniel, Stephen, and Garry; daughters, Samantha and Cynthia; sister, Karen; and grandchildren.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Gene Stephens; brother, Larry; and daughter, Norma.

Shelly will be remembered for her infectious laugh, sharp sense of humor, and the deep love she gave so freely to her family and friends.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. At a later date, inurnment will take place at Salem Cemetery, Salem Heights, IN.
