Taylor Curtiss Jackson

Taylor Curtiss Jackson, 57, of Mill Creek, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Northwest Health-La Porte.

Taylor was born on February 8, 1969, in La Porte, IN, to Tom and Bonnie (Lloyd) Jackson.

On December 17, 1999, in La Porte, IN, he married Lisa Lempke-Johnson who survives. Also surviving are his children, Amanda (Brian) Kieft of Trail Creek and Aaron (Brittini) Johnson of La Porte; grandchildren, Ava, Audrey, Lucas and Elliot Johnson and Emma Kieft; siblings, Theresa (Bob) Davey and Tommy (Corina Gould) Jackson; and nephews, Neil and Alan Davey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Taylor worked as a mechanic for over 30 years at Kabelin's Ace Hardware in La Porte. He appreciated campfires, car shows, and being a sous-chef. Taylor enjoyed hiking in the Smokey Mountains, taking long walks at Potato Creek, tinkering with his classic car, and especially helping his kids.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Mark Daniel officiating.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery on a later date.
