Timothy Kesling

Timothy John Kesling, 83, of Chicago, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago.

He was born on November 29, 1940, in La Porte, IN, to Harold D. and Jean (Crawford) Kesling.

Timothy is survived by many nieces and nephews, whom he enjoyed spending time with at their grandfather's house.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold D. and Jean Kesling; and siblings, David L. Kesling and Peter C. Kesling.

During his youth, he spent many summers helping to trim Christmas trees at his father's family tree farm. He enjoyed driving a 49 MG sports car during his high school and college summers. That beloved car, which he enjoyed driving to Dairy Queen, is now displayed in the La Porte County Historical Society Museum.

Timothy especially enjoyed his 5 years in Thailand, where he taught English.

He had a deep love for animals, specifically exotic animals. Timothy once owned a hedgehog named Spike and more recently a dove named Lonesome Dove.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A private family service will take place at a later date at Pine Lake Cemetery.
