Tony Angelo Passafume

Tony A. Passafume passed away on September 21, 2022 in a tragic automobile accident.

He was born on March 17, 1965 in La Porte, Indiana to Michael and Sandi Passafume.  Tony was 57 years old at the time of his death.

In 1983, he graduated from Colonial High School, Orlando, Florida. Tony was a La Porte resident since 1996, moving back into the area from Orlando, Florida.

On October 6, 2006, he married Kathryn (Ransbottom) Passafume.  He was a former member of local 130 Plumbers Union in Illinois, where he laid pipe on the Dan Ryan.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; beloved daughter, Samantha Lily Marget Passafume; mother, Sandi Kriwko; stepfather, Bill Kriwko; stepmother, Judy Passafume; sister, Kelly Passafume-Brown; nephew, Brandon Brown; brothers, Michael Passafume Jr. and Tim Harold; stepsons, Michael Ransbottom and James Kliss; ex- wife, Deanna Passafume; Lily's mother, Erin S. Field; aunt, Sally Peting; and four cousins, Daniella Peting, Gabriella Dobinson, Alliegra Hand, and Raphaella Peting.

Preceding him in death was his father, Michael Passafume; brother, John Harold; grandparents, Angelo and Josephine Passafume; uncle, Danny Passafume; and aunt, Claire Passafume.

Tony had a love of life and enjoyed many passions, particularly golfing, watching college football (Go Gators), riding bikes with his daughter, tanning on a sunny beach, and driving his many sports cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandma and making sure she was well cared for.

A Catholic Blessing was given by Father Nate Edquist on September 30, 2022.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at 12 pm, Friday, November 18, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte, IN with Deacon Frank Zolvinski officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, IN.
