William Bill Bennett, 79, Union Mills, died of natural causes at 11:05 p.m. Monday (March 1, 2004) at LaPorte Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with the Rev. Hugh Smith officiating.
Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bennett was born Nov. 27, 1924, in Orange Township, Ill., to Mervin and Lula (Bush) Bennett.
Survivors include two brothers, Roy Bennett, LaPorte, and Harry Bennett of Illinois; three sisters, Cicile Steven of Florida, Peggy Remlinger of Illinois and Susan Hills of Washington; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leo, Danny and Evertt Bennett; and three sisters, Opel Bennett, Ruby Della Cooley and Grace Bennett.
Mr. Bennett had worked at Larson Danielson Construction as a laborer.
Memorials may be made to the VNA Hospice.
