William "Bill" Francis Davis, age 89, of La Porte, IN (formerly of Clinton, Iowa) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Bill was born in Burlington, Iowa on August 28, 1930. He was the son of the late Clara Marshall and Ralph Davis. Bill was raised in Clinton, Iowa. After high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force and eventually served in the Korean War as a Radar Operator. Bill was also part of the Search and Rescue Team during the Korean War.
On February 28, 1959 in Fulton, IL, he married Sharon Lingle who survives. Also surviving are his children, William F. (Yolanda) Davis, II of La Porte, Linda (Tom) Isailovich of Crown Point, Ralph (Denise) Davis of Littleton, CO, John (Anne) Davis of Clinton, IA, and Janice (Rene) Lozano of Valparaiso; 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Abigail, William III and Hunter Davis, Allison, Malloy and Tommy Isailovich, Tyler and Jamie Davis, Halle and Elle Davis, Rene Lozano, II and Gabriella Lozano; 3 great-grandchildren, Keri Malloy, Emie and Coco Isailovich; sister, Darlene Berkes; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bill loved the outdoors, with hunting and fishing being at the top of his list.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
