Bill Kollar, 51, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Galloway officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
Bill was born October 2, 1955 in South Bend, Indiana to Otto G. "Rocky" & Margaret (Herthoge) Kollar. On April 1, 1978, in LaPorte, he married Amy Wharton, who survives.
Survivors also include daughter Tara (Jason Payton) Kollar of LaPorte; son Brandon S. (Rita Parker) Kollar of LaPorte; grandchildren Tyler & Arien Lynn Payton and Gracie Kollar; his mother of LaPorte; sister Karen (Ric) Graf of LaPorte; father & mother-in-law Herbert & Katherine Wharton of Walkerton, IN; and special sister & brother-in-law Gail & Ross Divine of Grovertown, IN.
His father preceded him in death.
Bill had worked at American Home Foods and had also worked for 24 ½ years at Roll Coater in Kingsbury, IN.
He was a 1975 graduate of LaPorte High School. He was a member of the Early Bird Bowling League at Thunderbird Lanes.
He was baptized at Countryside Christian Church last Wednesday, November 21st.
