Wilma M. Stephens

Wilma M. Stephens, 90, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Brickyard Health-La Porte Care Center.

Wilma was born on October 22, 1934, in La Porte, IN, to Lloyd and Veoria (Emigh) Bartz.

On October 7, 1950, in La Porte, IN, she married Hershell who preceded her in death. Also surviving are her 5 children, David Stephens of South Bend, Wilma D. (Andy) Thrower of Highland, CA, Donnie (Kathy) Stephens of Prescott, AZ, Byron (Debbie) Stephens of La Porte, and Susie (Jeff) Crump of Rogers, AR; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 3 sisters, Betty, Jean, and Margaret.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service has taken place. Burial at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend, will take place at a later date.
