Donna Cain, 87, of Rolling Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family.
Donna was born on January 4, 1934 in Columbia City, IN, to Fred C. and Pauline (Hill) Houser.
On May 3, 1953, she married Ralph Emerson who preceded her in death November 8, 2007. Surviving are her children, Pamela (Scott) Covell of Hampton, VA, Richard (Lisa) Cain of Argos,IN, and Susan (Eugene Murray)Turner of Barbourville, KY; 8 grandchildren, Nicole (Marc) Sukenick of VA, Bryan Burkus of CO, Katherine (Andrew) Kortz of VA, Christopher (Chrissy) Cain of IN, Sarah (Joey) Bracken of FL, Andrea (Travis) Stolpe of NE, Adam Smith of IN, and Dustin Smith of KY; 9 great-grandchildren, Alex, Benjamin, Noah, Aries, Delaila, Cole, Finnegan, Calvin, and Ava; son-in-law, David Burkus of VA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents and brothers, Jerry and Jesse Houser.
Donna was a grocery cashier for 17 years at Kingsbury Locker Plant. She was a member of the Rolling Prairie Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Gleaners, and Wills Township Home Economics Club.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing of six feet. Also, we are limited to 25 people in the building at any given time. We kindly ask for your patience as we oversee these mandated guidelines.
