Maxine Marie Paine

Maxine Marie Paine, 98, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the home of her son, Bill, and daughter-in-law, Diana Foster.

Maxine was born on August 20, 1921 in Mishawaka, IN, to George and Frieda (Petersen) Doty.

On March 30, 1946, she married James R. Foster who preceded her in death.  February 28, 1976, she married Daniel Paine, who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her son, William (Diana) Foster of La Porte, step-daughters, Deborah (Gregg) Brajdie of Onalaska, WI and Cynthia (Dave) Alderson of Decatur, IL; 3 grandsons, Jason (Kristy) Foster of Portland, OR, Matthew Foster of La Porte, and Ryan (Kimberly) Foster of McDonough, GA; 2 step-grandsons, Cory Alderson and Cody Alderson, both of Decatur, IL; 7 great-grandchildren; Alyssa Foster, Makayla Robinson, Bryce Foster, Salix Foster, Brenden Foster, Laila Foster, and Quinn Foster; siblings, Jane Judd of Granger and Dixie Anderson of Mishawaka; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; siblings, George Doty, Bill Doty, Edward Doty, Floyd Doty, Charles Doty, Evelyn Blicharz, and Nancy Campbell; step-son, Danny Paine; and step-daughter, Dianna Paine.

Maxine was a factory worker for 25 years at Austenal  She was a member of  St. John's Lutheran Church.  Maxine enjoyed spending time with her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, and playing euchre and pinochle at the senior center.

Per Maxine's wishes, a service won't be held.  Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  Maxine's cremains will be buried at St. John's Cemetery, La Porte, at a later date.
