Sally Anne (Jones) Fischer

Born on October 27, 1938 in Wiesbaden, Germany to parents Paul Jones and Sarah Jones.

Sally Anne was the eldest of three siblings - her sisters Cynthia Myers and Carol Lynne Wilson predeceasing her in the last 10 years.

She was married to Dr. Allan L. Fischer, who practiced Internal Medicine and Cardiology in La Porte for eleven years until his passing in 2007.

Sally was a talented chef and avid creator of wonderful recipes. She found her true calling making delicious cupcakes and other memorable desserts.

Entertaining was her greatest joy.  Whether a casual weekend evening or a festive holiday or fundraiser, she loved having people over for celebrations of fun, conversation, and great food.

With a penchant for fashion, Sally spent many years working (and shopping) at Judee’s in town.  She thoroughly enjoyed the annual fashion shows, where she would often times model the latest fashions.

Always enthusiastic about the arts, Sally served for many years on the Board of Directors of the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra.  Christmas At The Pops was one of her favorite events each year.

Sally is survived by her daughter Amy Gross and Amy’s children Abigail Gross and Eli Gross, and by her son Ted Williams and Ted’s wife Milka Williams.

Sally loved the changing seasons and the holidays that accompanied each one.  The Christmas season was her favorite by far and those special holiday gatherings of her family will always be fondly remembered.

Her family will cherish their many loving memories of Sally and the very special friendships she made during her 25 years living in La Porte.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  Private family services have been held.
