Thomas Lee Nablo

February 20, 1945 — July 11, 2019

Thomas Lee Nablo, 74, of Union Mills, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at University of Chicago Medical Center.

Thomas was born in La Porte, IN, on February 20, 1945 to Cecil and Edna (Koontz) Nablo.

On June 20, 1981 in La Porte, he married Joyce Gribble who survives.  Also surviving are his children, Erin (John) Miller of Solsberry, IN and Christopher (Leannza Shipley) Nablo of Union Mills; 7 grandchildren, Landon, Zane, Keaton, and Camden Miller and Ava, Maya, and Adalee Nablo; sister, Barbara Scarborough of Michigan City; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Thomas was an orthodontic lab tech and owned Twin Lakes Lab in Union Mills.

Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping, antique cars, old tractors, and being outdoors.  He and his loving wife enjoyed living in Florida for the winters.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Heritage Lutheran Church, 308 Washington St., Valparaiso, IN.

A time of visitation will be held from 11 until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.  Interment will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Salvation Army, 3240 Monroe St., La Porte, IN 46350.
