Cutler Funeral Home has been serving LaPorte and the surrounding area since 1896. As such, the funeral home has ties with much of the past history of the community. This inheritance of community involvement continues through four generations of the Cutler family.
It has been our privilege to serve the families of La Porte and surrounding communities for years. To them and other families, we offer the highest standards of excellence, serving you with Faith, Compassion, Integrity and Friendship.
What a year to extend warmth and generosity to LaPorte Children! We are very excited as we kick off our third year of Cutler Cares Project Warm Child. We were overwhelmed at the outpouring of donations last year and even more so by the need in the schools for all the items collected. No items went unused.
Due to the economic situation we are expecting the need to be much greater in the schools this year. Cutler Funeral Home along with the LaPorte Community Schools and the LaPorte High School Leo Club are kicking up our efforts this year. There have been other organizations including Step Ahead School and knitting groups that have become involved for this year’s effort.
We are asking the community of LaPorte to champion the growth of this event with donations. “Along with new gloves and hats, this year we decided to add new coats to the drive due to the amount of requests we had last year.” Bob Cutler said in a press release.
Drop-off locations for new coats, hats and gloves are: Cutler Funeral Home, 2900 Monroe St., Thaddeus C. Gallery, 822 Lincolnway, and a (designated site at the LPHS by the Leos).Donations will be accepted now through November 18, 2009.Cash donations are also accepted, and 100 percent of the funds will be dedicated to the program.Distribution will be made through the schools at designated times and dates before Thanksgiving. For more information, contact the Cutler Funeral Home, 362-2828 or visit www.cutlerfuneral.com
